It's a bright and bold collection of corporate electronica, partly inspired by commercial and TV music of the early to mid 1980s. Prismatics captures a moment in time when analogue technologies are just about giving way to computers and digital media. Brooks also records for Ghost Box records as The Advisory Circle and is a prolific and much respected composer and producer. As well as her disctinctive melodic style she brings to bear a deep experience and understanding of electronic music gear, past and present.
Prismatics is the first new release on the re-launched Belbury Music record label. Originally an off shoot of Ghost Box records, issuing limited physical releases. Belbury Music releases will now have wider physical distribution worldwide and will be available on all major download and streaming platforms.
